Each player controls a set of worker dice that get stronger with each move. On your turn, move a worker on a modular board and choose between two areas of the location tile you land on. One area offers an action and a worker upgrade, while the other gives a powerful bonus without an upgrade.
As you manage your workforce and resources, develop new technologies, climb the temples' steps, build houses for the city's inhabitants, and raise the legendary Pyramid of the Sun in the city center. The game is played in three eras, and as the Aztecs' dawn approaches, player efforts and their ability to feed the workforce are evaluated three times. The player with the most fame wins.
