Build railroads across Germany with Prussian Rails! This game first came out in 2008 as Preußische Ostbahn, the second in Winsome's Historic Railroads System, and was later reprinted as German Railways. It builds on the system of Wabash Cannonball and takes the action to Germany from 1840 - 1870. It adds an innovative player order mechanism, and each railroad has unique historical features. Suitable for 3 - 5 players, plays in 60+ minutes, and is for ages 12 and up. Features include auction/bidding, losing a turn, network and route building, stock holding, and random and stat - based turn orders. The themes are economic, trains, and transportation.

How to play Prussian Rails: First, gather 3 to 5 players who are at least 12 years old. Each game will take you 60 minutes or more. Start the game by using the auction/bidding feature to get resources. Then, start building your railroad network in Germany from 1840 - 1870. Keep in mind the innovative player order mechanism, which can be random or stat - based. Try to take advantage of each railroad's special historical characteristic. During the game, you might lose a turn, so plan your moves carefully. Also, consider holding stocks to gain an edge. As for maintenance, keep the game pieces in a dry and clean place. Avoid bending or breaking the cards and tokens. If the game gets dirty, you can gently wipe the pieces with a soft cloth. Have fun building your German railroad empire!
