Board Game Geek Rating: 7.18, Avg Player Rating: 8.06. This is an expansion for Cthulhu Wars, a strategy board game inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos. It's from the Onslaught 3 Kickstarter campaign. Suitable for 2 - 4 players and was published in 2018. The expansion includes 6 new acolyte figures for all 9 factions in Cthulhu Wars. The game is large - scale and has 64 figurines of cultists, monsters, and more, sized from about 20 mm to nearly 180 mm. Set on an Earth map, players take on roles of alien races and gods. Each turn, players gather power and then spend it on tasks like recruiting cultists, battling, and summoning monsters. Victory is based on points on the Doom Track and unlocking all six spell books. How to use: First, set up the Earth - themed map. Each player chooses a faction from the base game or one in the expansion. At the start of your turn, gather power. Then, during action rounds, use that power to do things like recruit cultists, move your units around the map, engage in battles, summon monsters, build gates, cast spells, and wake up your Great Old One. Keep an eye on the Doom Track and try to reach 30 points while unlocking all six spell books to win. Note: Unless stated, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter campaign are not included. Maintenance: Keep the figurines in a dry place to avoid damage. When not in use, store the game components in the provided box to keep them organized.
