Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 8.42. This is a Kickstarter 'Mini + Ember' Pledge Level for the Xia Board Game by Far Off Games. Suitable for 2 to 4 players and published in 2018. The bundle includes the 'Embers of a Forsaken Star' Expansion and the 'Missions and Powers' Mini - Expansion. Note that the core game is required to play and is sold separately. Unless otherwise stated, paid add - ons from the Kickstarter Campaign are not included.
The 'Embers of a Forsaken Star' Expansion: The drift system of Xia has orbited a dying star. Desolate worlds await plunder, and a cold fills the void. New dangers, treasures, and adventures are here. This expansion adds new sector tiles, mission cards, ships, and a solo campaign.
The 'Missions and Powers' Mini - Expansion: It contains 54 cards. There are 21 new ship powers for existing player ships, offering more choices and greater reliability. There are also 32 new missions of 4 types (Transport, Assist, Counterfeit, and BOOM!), which are easier to start and complete, especially in the early game. Plus, there is one rules/credits card.

To use this product, first, make sure you have the core Xia board game as it's required to play. Once you have the core game, you can add the expansions. For the 'Embers of a Forsaken Star' expansion, simply shuffle the new sector tiles into the existing tile stack, add the new mission cards to the mission deck, and introduce the new ships to the game. The solo campaign can be played following its own set of rules. For the 'Missions and Powers' mini - expansion, add the new ship power cards to the relevant ship areas and shuffle the new mission cards into the mission deck. When using the new ship powers, remember they offer more reliability and can be used multiple times per turn. As for the new missions, they are easier to start and end at players, making them great for early - game play. When not in use, store the cards and tiles in a dry and cool place to prevent damage. If the cards get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
