The game features 22 highly - detailed miniature Sculpted Gates that fit Cultists and Dark Young, ready to open portals of destruction. It comes with 64 figurines of cultists, monsters, aliens, and Great Old Ones, ranging from 20 mm to nearly 180 mm in height. The game is played on an Earth - themed map. Each player represents one of four base - game factions. At the start of a turn, gather power and then spend it in action rounds on tasks like recruiting Cultists, moving units, battling, summoning monsters, building Gates, casting spells, and Awakening the Great Old One. Victory is achieved by reaching 30 points on the Doom Track, but only if you've unlocked all six spell books. The base game supports 2 - 4 players (the map can handle 5), and with expansions, it can support up to 8 players. How to use: First, set up the Earth - themed map. Each player picks a faction from the base game. At the start of your turn, gather power. Then, in the action rounds, use that power to do things like getting Cultists, moving your units around the map, having battles, bringing in monsters, building Gates, using spells, and waking up your Great Old One. Keep going until someone gets 30 points on the Doom Track and unlocks all six spell books. Note: Make sure to read the rules carefully before starting. When handling the figurines, be gentle as they are detailed and might break easily. Maintenance: Keep the game in a dry place to avoid damage to the figurines and the map.
