This is the retail edition of the City of Gears board game, a unique steampunk experience that combines exploration, area control, worker placement, and engine building. From your factory, race to claim the ruins of an abandoned clockwork city. Each game lasts under an hour, and with only 9 randomly - chosen city tiles out of dozens each time, no two games are the same. The game starts with 9 random city tiles in a 3x3 grid face - down. Players roll resource dice to get Gears, Steam, and Charges. Gears give you new powers or help connect parts of the city. Steam deploys automaton workers to tiles. Charges move workers or can be used against opponents. Workers on building tiles activate buildings for a chain of benefits. Once the city is uncovered, Opening Day approaches, and the game ends when the third Opening Day gear is drawn. How to use: Start by placing 9 random city tiles face - down in a 3x3 grid. Each turn, roll the resource dice to get Gears, Steam, and Charges. Use Gears for powers or connections, Steam to deploy workers, and Charges to move workers or take on opponents. Workers on building tiles can activate them for benefits. The game ends when the third Opening Day gear is drawn. The player with the most Prestige at the end wins. Note: Since the tiles are randomly chosen each game, every play will be different. Try different strategies based on the tiles you get. Maintenance: Keep the game components in a dry place. Make sure to store the dice and tiles in the provided box to avoid losing them. If the tiles get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth.
