Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 7.65, Avg Player Rating: 7.79. Published in 2014, this retail edition of Five Tribes takes you to the fabled Sultanate of Naqala. When the old sultan dies, control of Naqala is up for grabs. You, as a stranger, can maneuver the Five Tribes - Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers - to gain influence. Designed by Bruno Cathala, it's a German - style game with a unique twist on worker placement. The meeples are already in place, and your strategic moves over villages, markets, oases, and sacred places determine victory. The rules are easy to learn, but a well - calculated strategy is needed. Summon powerful Djinns to help you control the sultanate. At TheGameSteward, a good part of your spending on this game will back new Kickstarter games. How to play: First, get familiar with the Five Tribes - Assassins, Elders, Builders, Merchants, and Viziers. The game starts with meeples already on the tiles of Naqala, which include villages, markets, oases, and sacred places. Use your turns to move these meeples strategically. Try to gain influence and fulfill the prophecy to control the sultanate. You can also summon Djinns to help your cause. Think carefully about when, where, and how to move the tribes to score points and put your opponents at a disadvantage. Note: Make sure all players understand the rules before starting. Keep track of the moves and the status of the sultanate. Maintenance: Store the game in a cool, dry place. Keep the meeples and tiles in the box properly to avoid losing or damaging them. If the tiles get dirty, you can gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
