Product Information

Board Game Geek Rating: 8.08. Board Game Geek Avg Player Rating: 8.60. Players: 1 - 4. Published in 2017. This is the Retail Edition of the Gaia Project Board Game. Gaia Project is a new addition to the Terra Mystica series. Fourteen factions reside on seven types of planets. Each faction is tied to its home planet, so they must terraform neighboring planets to compete with others. Gaia planets are open for all factions to colonize, and Transdimensional planets can be turned into Gaia planets. All factions can enhance skills in six development areas - Terraforming, Navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaiaforming, Economy, Research - for advanced tech and special bonuses, using their unique skills. The playing area has ten sectors, offering a variable setup and higher replay value than Terra Mystica. A two - player game uses seven sectors. We're happy to support campaigns to bring you the Gaia Project Retail Edition for online purchase at TheGameSteward. A significant portion of your spending on this game will back new Kickstarter games. If you have questions about buying or need game advice, contact The Game Steward.

How to play: First, decide on the number of players (1 to 4). For a two - player game, set up the playing area using seven sectors; otherwise, use ten sectors. Each faction has its home planet. To develop, terraform neighboring planets into your home environment. All factions can work on improving skills in six areas: Terraforming, Navigation, Artificial Intelligence, Gaiaforming, Economy, and Research. Use your faction's special skills to gain an edge. When it comes to colonization, Gaia planets are available for all, and you can change Transdimensional planets into Gaia planets. Things to note: Make sure to understand each faction's special abilities before starting. Read the rules carefully to avoid misunderstandings during the game. Maintenance advice: Keep the game components in a dry place. Avoid bending or tearing the cards. If the pieces get dirty, gently wipe them with a soft cloth.
