Build your small empire in a land full of legends! In this version, instead of goods, cards come with special abilities that give unique advantages. Each card features a beautiful illustration of a fantasy creature or location. It has a modular board for more variety and new variants. Can it still be played in eight minutes? Yes, but you need to be quick! It's a fast - paced game with a Civilization/Exploration theme, using card - driven area control and set collection. Players move across the map to collect points by having majorities in regions and continents. All actions are driven by face - up cards with increasing prices. To play Eight - Minute Empire: Legends, start by setting up the modular board. For 2 to 4 players, each turn, select a card from the six face - up cards on display. The card has an action that you can take right away. Use these actions to place armies and cities on the small map to gain control of areas. Try to collect sets of cards as they can earn you points at the end of the game. Move your pieces across land or sea, produce armies, and found cities as directed by the cards. Remember, the game can be played in about eight minutes, but you'll have to play fast. As for the Kickstarter Edition, note that paid add - ons from the campaign aren't included unless it's specifically stated. There's no special maintenance needed for this board game.
